we took a roadtrip on sunday to memphis, one of many cities on my "places to see" list. i haven't left the state of georgia in about, exactly a year. so the short visit was very, very much needed. we started our film stroll on beale street and met with a friend from the city, who volunteered to be a guide. to our surprise, he pointed out that we were only walking distance from the lorraine hotel- where martin luther king jr. drew his last breath. although we didn't get the chance to walk inside, it was still a very intense experience standing there.
i already miss little ol' memphis. such a charming place.
view my memphis set here.
