i've been frequenting the movie theatres a lot lately. i've probably gone a total of 4 times in less than a week. yesterday, i watched cadillac records, a true story based on a small recording studio in the south side of chicago. i didn't read much into it before going, and i must say.. stellar performances. especially from the lady who starred as etta james. surprisingly amazing. mos def portraying chuck berry had to be a favorite of mine. the older man sitting next to me in the theatre couldn't stop laughing and slapping his knee, i thought it was really sweet. he was getting nostalgic.

as if i haven't fallen in love with the 50s enough already
